Movie Filming in Dormont, Parking Restrictions in Place

Parking restrictions on Pinehurst and Peermont avenues in effect through Friday.

It’ll be exciting to look down Peermont Avenue this week and see a film production crew, but a few parking restrictions are in place during the filming.

Parking restrictions will last from 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) through 10 p.m. Friday. There will be no parking on Pinehurst Avenue from Biltmore to Peermont, and no parking on either side of Peermont from West Liberty Avenue to Latonia Avenue.

Scenes for the movie “One Shot,” featuring Tom Cruise, will be shot in Dormont this week.

“There’s adequate parking in the area in the various lots and on the street,” said Dormont police Chief Rich Dwyer. “People should be okay, but we’ve eased the tagging restrictions in those areas.”

Dwyer said during the restriction period, officers will be more lenient about ticketing cars that are parked illegally in that area.

Those with questions about parking should call Drew Levinson of Paramount Pictures at 412-527-2003.

“Hopefully everyone will follow the restrictions, and Dormont will be in a movie and everything will be good,” Dwyer said.
