Leah, its kind of funny that you typed "unusual fixation" and then listed the well researched old news about the decision that named Mr. Grubb ONLY because he was president of council at the time.Certainly you are smart enough to know that as president of council he can't be held accountable for a decision made by the Borough Manager to keep a resident from using our facilities....

Two lawsuits -
One closed (by current council) with very strong language specifically absolving all named of any wrongdoing. One headed in that direction....
I mean really, do you think that any one of us wanted those tax dollar wasting money grabs? MAYBE you might want to point the finger the other way? I mean the current council touts how smooth things are going....well of course if you lay down and give everybody what they want things DO have the appearance of being OK. I would want a council that has the guts to ask tough questions about how your tax dollars are being spent..Don't you?

Right off of Facebook--
Joan Hodson commented on a link.October 8, 2012.
How anyone could vote for someone who is not an American is beyond me regardless of the media. Anyone else sick of the hollywood celebs and talk show hosts who support our non American president?
Now what Leah.....?

"Mark Elliott" The ""True Democrat" piece is there to identify the candidates that are really democrats. It IS the primary on the 21st. That is the day when the Democrats run their slate and the Republicans run their slate and build towards the General Election. Except we have republicans running as Democrats. And I'm not talking about moderates I'm talking about people like Joan Hodson who posts on Facebook that President Obama "Wasn't even born in America".... Really???

Ed, If this was the general election I would understand where you are coming from but in the primary the goal is to build to a balanced general election. This could be the first ever primary election in Dormont's 100+ year HISTORY where the republican voters don't have a choice. Do you think thats good for Dormont? I think that the split party ticket should be ashamed at the way they are trying to FOOL the voters. I think Joan Hodson who was originally elected to council by her republican supporters should be ashamed that she is abandoning those voters and leaving them with no local republican representation for the general election.

Well "Jill P" sorry to burst your bubble but there is no division within our ranks. Our candidate for Mayor, Rich Grubb asked us if he could put out his own signs and we ALL agreed that this would be no problem. The new signs that Identify our council candidates as being "TRUE DEMOCRATS" were made to educate the Democratic voters in Dormont that two of the candidates running on the split party ticket changed their party affiliation to run as Democrats. Some folks on here are saying that it doesn't matter but this is the PRIMARY where it absolutely matters. I wonder why the two long-time republican candidates couldn't run as republicans? And you want to talk about potential division in the ranks???
