Carla is lifelong South Hills resident who lives in Dormont with her fiance, John, and cats Leia, Lucy, Oliver and Salem.  Her passions are reading, writing - but not arithmetic - cooking, social media, taking Latin dance classes and relaxing with friends. She's known to enjoy a glass of wine out of a box on occasion and can throw a fabulous dinner party.

She's a member of the Friends of Dormont Pool and has been involved with its pub-crawl fundraiser by selling T-shirts and donating by drinking lots of vodka. She's also picked up other people's trash at Dormont's Earth Day, created a family friendly scavenger hunt fundraiser for the pool, contributed to the pool's Doggie Dip - even though she only has cats - and she's worked the beer tent for the Dormont's Street Fair. 

Carla also writes at www.BitchBurgh.com, a humoristic lifestyle blog about how three Pittsburgh-area women handle life, love, kids and pets without being too intoxicated. She's involved in the Pittsburgh-area's social media community under her blog identity "CC" (formerly Wormy) and through attending "Tweet-Ups" with other Twitter followers and blog writers. She's attended Podcamp Pittsburgh, a social media conference of classes, sessions and presentations, since 2008. At Podcamp Pittsburgh 5 in October 2010, she and her blog cohorts were honored to present a session - all about themselves and their blog - to a packed room, which has expanded her social network of contacts, good times and drinking buddies.
