ReplyEd, if it was so needed why wouldn't they plan it for less than a year ago when they had the tunnels shut down. This isn't something that popped up overnight. Simple planning would say if we need to shut down the tunnels we should probably do everything that needs to be done at that time. I guess then if they were updating the entrances at the same time they were doing the lights and electric, there would be no place to hang out and smoke cigarettes all night.

ReplyUnreal, how many more time are they going to be "working" on these tunnels. Didn't the last time they shut them down they said it was to replace the electric, now they are repairing the electric and lighting. What a joke. I hope when they are done with the police chief, the FBI looks into PennDot and the companies they use next.

ReplyThe Vasta has been a nuisance bar for a while now. I quit going to Toms Diner after a certain time because I didn't feel like dealing with the thug wannabes from the Vasta.

ReplyI have been there and it was a great experience. I was not that familiar with Egyptian food, however the owner took the time to explain everything. We ordered a couple of different things (sadly I can't remember what they were called) and everything was great. The place has a really cool atmosphere as well. The menu changes daily and they said to check their website or you can call to see what they are having that day and their is definitely something for vegans to meat eaters.

I have to agree with Mike on this one. You can't support a business that is only open while you are at work. Any kind of brochure or directory is kind of useless if you can never get to the place when it's open.

ReplyWell since there is not a Mad Mex in the Dormont, Brookline or Beechview I am not even sure why that was bought up. I think it's great that they are trying to offer a bigger craft beer selection. I hope some other places follow.

ReplyThere looks to be some new places moving in to some of the old store fronts, including from what I can see an African Market and an Egyptian Cafe. The best way to improve the boulevard is to support the businesses that are there. In turn those business will continue to grow, while others will take notice and hopefully decide to open a business on the blvd as well.

ReplyThe police need to charge MIB Entertainment for all these crimes as well. How many times can a place get busted for knowingly selling stolen goods. Then again I am sure that the owners rich parents will once again get their high powered lawyers to get any charges dropped.

You do realize that my point was that even if it is a different project it is possible to do them at the same time. It's like when a building is being built, you do have people working on different things at the same time. However I am guessing you must be one of the people that milk these jobs.
