The family of Jimmy Slack gathered in their Bridgeville home Tuesday night, a day after his body had been found, and told stories, wept, shared a few laughs and flipped through old photos of him. “It’s just hard to sort through everything,” said Maureen Shields while looking at the numerous photos of her brother. “We’re going through pictures to make a picture board. It’s just really hard to go through pictures of someone’s entire life and at 25, that’s his entire life.” Pittsburgh police found Slack’s body in the Ohio River nearly two months after he disappeared while attending a concert in Pittsburgh. Jimmy Slack, who had been missing since Dec. 7, was found dead Monday in the Ohio River.

Pittsburgh police Sgt. Joe Gannon said a crew on a boat that was pulling up to the shore noticed the body and called 911. King notified the family at their Bridgeville home shortly after. “It was very emotional,” King said. "I think they were still holding out to hope that he would come home.” Police are waiting for an autopsy to determine how Slack …

The prayer vigil will begin at 7 p.m. outside Bethany Presbyterian Church in Bridgeville. “It’s about strength and courage and peace, because this is Christmas and a hard time of year to go through this,” said Maureen Shields, who is the missing Bridgeville man’s sister. “What more can you ask for? We can ask for miracles, but right now we’re just asking for strength.” Slack has been missing since Dec. 7 after attending the String Cheese Incident concert at Stage “AE” on Pittsburgh’s North Side. Although the family and police detectives organized several searches for him over the past two weeks, clues …
