'Dormont Memories' Collection Growing at Historical Society
Dormont Historical Society is collecting Dormont Memories—essays from residents past and present—through Sept. 1.
When Dormont Historical Society began collecting "Dormont Memories" earlier this year, its members were hoping to get a look at the way Dormont used to be, and how residents are enjoying it now. They have, but they're still looking for more to fill an anthology the organization hopes to publish professionally next year. Organizer Carrie Samarin left the following comment on the Dormont-Brookline Patch event listing for the project: I believe we have about 30 writings so far. These are valuable memories that will forever be part of Dormont History via the Historical Society.
