Patch Poll: How Did You Carry Trick-or-Treat Candy?

Details about local trick-or-treat times in Dormont and Brookline.

Brookline Breeze Hits 3-0

The 30th running of the footrace though Brookline and into Dormont takes place Saturday, along with a festival.

Runners and walkers have the opportunity to take part in one of the oldest continuous races in the Pittsburgh area Saturday with the 30th running of the Brookline Breeze. The main race, which increased from three miles to the more standard 5K (3.1 mile) distance begins at 9 a.m. at Brookline Park. The course takes runners up Brookline Boulevard, onto Pioneer Avenue, then onto West Liberty Avenue in Dormont. Online registration is closed, but people can register in person at the rec center and before the race Saturday. T-shirts are only guaranteed for pre-registrants. Though Burton …
