Meet Gladys, a senior cat who was just brought into the Aminal Friends shelter this month. Gladys is a spayed black-and-white domestic medium-hair female, and the shelter staff believes that she is almost 15 years old. She weighs about 8 pounds. This pretty 3-year-old girl is Maggie. Her owners surrendered Maggie to the Animal Rescue League of Pittsburgh after two years because she didn't quite feel comfortable with the small children in the home. Nevertheless, this pointer-mix is extremely sweet, enjoys her Kong chew toy very much and seems to like other dogs, too. Maggie was also crate trained and knows sit, stay, down and lay. However, she's not fond of felines, so a cat-free home would be ideal. She’s also is a fan of going outside when it rains. Based on her behavior in her previous home, Maggie should live in an adult only home or a home with older children. It does take her time to warm up to strangers, but loves people once she feels safe. We think she'll love curling up …
