When it starts getting chilly outside, I start craving comfort food, and homemade maccaroni and cheese is one of my favorites. My uncle raved about this recipe for hot pepper mustard that a coworker discovered while surfing allrecipes.com. Perfect for people trying to rid themselves of their garden-grown peppers, this hot pepper mustard works with everything from hot dogs to soft pretzels. Here's what you need: Here's what you do: 1. First things first: Remove the seeds from your peppers. After that, place them in a blender or food processor. Process them until they are smooth. 2. Pour the peppers into a large pot and stir in the mustard, sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar and salt. Bring to a boil so that it is boiling so hard it cannot be stirred down. 3. I found this recipe on AllRecipes.com when I was looking for some new, healthy weekend breakfast recipes. I’m usually craving greasy bacon and a plate full of scrambled eggs, or a stack of pancakes covered in sugary syrup. Those probably aren’t the healthiest things I could eat though… This recipe for wheat germ whole-wheat buttermilk pancakes got great reviews on the website, and I’m willing to give it a spin for a healthy twist on a delicious breakfast. Yum! I actually went home earlier this week and my mom showed me exactly how she makes hers. It's similar to yours—no roux, and only bake it for 20 minutes. We also only used cheddar and parmesan, and milk instead of cream. Buttermilk would be great in this.   more ›
