Public Drunkenness Citation Issued After Man Walks Into Stranger's Home

A man was cited after accidentally walking into the wrong home in Dormont last week.

A Mt. Lebanon man was arrested Feb. 28 after he allegedly walked into a stranger's house uninvited by mistake. Dormont police responded to a Wisconsin Avenue home when a woman called to report that she had been sleeping, and woke up to find her dogs barking at a man—later identified as Christopher Miranda, 35—standing inside her front door. The woman told police she called 911 after she asked the man's name, and he refused to tell her. Dormont police responded to the incident in the 1100 block of Wisconsin Avenue at 5:46 p.m. Sgt. James Burke said it appeared as though the bus had taken a wrong turn onto the street from West Liberty Avenue, and then wasn’t able to navigate the narrow neighborhood streets to get back out. McGann & Chester Towing, which Burke said specializes in moving large equipment and vehicles, was called to the scene, and about three hours later—around 8:30 p.m.—the bus was freed. No vehicles or property in the area were damaged. Although Wisconsin is marked with a sign that reads “No tractor trailers beyond this point,” Burke …
