She has not been seen since leaving her home in Swissvale on March 28, 2008.
It's been nearly five years since 30-year-old Faime Lynette Francis left her home in Swissvale and vanished. Faime is described at 5-foot-8, 115 pounds with black hair and dark brown eyes. According to the North American Missing Persons Network, she might wear a wig or add weave to her hair. She also wore an engagement-type ring on her left hand and often dressed in all black. Her disappearance concerned family members because she suffers from mental illness. She did not have her medicine with her when she left home. She has not been heard from since. Reports of people burglarizing homes after telling the owners they are with various companies have been made in Dormont and Swissvale.
It’s becoming a familiar story—people going door-to-door, participating in a scam situation in which they say they’re with an organization to gain access to your property. Dormont police are investigating one of these situations, which occurred Thursday morning and resulted in the burglary of a home in the 1300 block of Illinois Avenue. Shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday, an elderly couple called Dormont police to report their home had been burglarized. The couple told police a man they described as being Mexican-American came to their home and said he was a property assessment officer from Allegheny County. Verna Hreha, 82, of Jefferson Hills has been reported missing and was last seen Tuesday at a Bethel Park business, saying she was lost. Hreha, a 5-foot-5-inch, 135 pound white woman with short gray hair, was last seen driving her car, a silver 2011 Hyundai Elantra with a Pennsylvania license plate, through a Swissvale neighborhood and asking for directions. She was seen in Bethel Park late Tuesday afternoon. She is in need of medication.
