Dormont Boy Scout Troop 23 is inviting the community to dinner. Troop 23's biggest fundraiser of the year, a spaghetti dinner at Dormont United Methodist Church, is on Jan. 19. The dinner will be held at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for kids age 12 and younger. Dinner includes spaghetti with a choice of sauce, salad, bread and butter, drinks, and dessert. Boy Scout Troop 23 will host a classic Italian spaghetti dinner—complete with candlelight and red-and-white checkered tablecloths—at Dormont United Methodist Church from 4 to 8 p.m. The price is $6 for adults and $4 for children, and includes spaghetti with a choice of sauce, bread and butter, salad and a drink—and tasty homemade desserts. Tickets are available at the door, or from troop members. The Keystone Oaks High School dance team hosted a spaghetti dinner on Saturday night.
Most of us associate November with feasting on turkey and all the fixin’s, and with giving thanks. For a group of students and parents at Keystone Oaks High School, however, November also means spaghetti, meatballs and a lot of hard work. The spaghetti and meatballs were served up on Saturday evening, at the KOHS dance team’s annual spaghetti dinner. Team coach Megan Kamberis described it as one of the ways the team raises funds for its trip to JAMfest Dance Super Nationals, a national dance competition held in Covington, Kentucky, each February.
