Justice grabs your attention with his beautiful blue-grey coat, hazel colored eyes and regal Shepherd ears. He’s a large breed, Akita/Terrier mix who finds himself at the Animal Rescue League shelter due to his owner's move. His former owner told the shelter volunteers that Justice is extremely loyal and is a terrific companion. The ARL recommends that Justice go to a home with children older than age 5 because he is very affectionate and strong, and he has not yet been taught not to jump on people. Justice listens well on a walk, wants to please and appears to be a fast learner. He also likes to play with toys. With a little basic training Justice has the potential to be a wonderful family member. Justice is currently spending some time …

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is available for adoption.
Dori is a 6 year old, 43-pound Pembroke Welsh Corgi looking for a new home. Her owners surrendered her to the Animal Rescue League because she was chasing the cats and herding them around the house. They acquired her from relatives who were leaving her outside with no shelter or water. According to the Animal Rescue League, they also were feeding her people food for the past five years—and that's why she weights 43 pounds instead of 25. Dori is on a special diet now, and she already has lost 10 pounds. She likes to pretend she's a lapdog, even though she's still a little plump. She likes to play with other dogs, but she needs a no cat household. Dori is great with well-mannered children, though she might try to herd them by nipping at …

Do you have room in your heart and home for this guy?
Munch is a 2-and-a-half year old Pit mix who was brought to the Animal Rescue League shelter in Pittsburgh when his owner no longer had a place to keep him. The owner described Munch as a 'lovable' dog and indicated he was friendly with the kids in the house and also got along with cats. We're not sure how Munch would be with other dogs, but doggie introductions can always be arranged with our adoptions counselors. Munch is said to be house-trained and responds to 'sit'. He is an active, energetic dog that would do best in a home that offered him plenty of exercise and play time. Munch has a tendency to pull when walked on a leash, as well as jump up in enthusiasm. Both of these behaviors can be addressed through obedience training classes…
