UPDATE: Castle Shannon Woman Found

Joan Lynn Meissonier, 59, of Castle Shannon, had been reported missing on New Year's Day.

Family, Friends Hold Vigil on Anniversary of Teen’s Disappearance

A crowd gathered at the cannon monument on Brookline Boulevard on Sunday night to remember a young woman who has been missing for one year. Family and friends of 20-year-old Alivia Kail, who has been missing since March 5, 2011, held a vigil to remember her and spread the word that they haven’t given up the hope of bringing her home. “My hope for this vigil is that someone will just see this and be able to help, and know she’s out there,” said Kail’s mother, Christine Didiano. “At this point, we just hope someone will come forward.” Kail was living in Mt. UPDATE: Missing Baldwin Woman's Car Found

Karissa Kunco has been missing since Wednesday afternoon.

Cecil police confirmed to reporters that a car that crashed on Gladden Road in the township belongs to missing Baldwin Borough woman Karissa Kunco. Police said nobody was in the vehicle when it was found crashed Thursday morning, and declined to give further description of the contents of the vehicle. Gladden Road was partitioned off near its intersection with state Route 980, and officers from multiple police departments responded. A police spokesperson told reporters that state police and forensic specialists were called to the scene. Police are still looking for Kunco, 21, who has been missing as of 5:30 on Wednesday afternoon. Baldwin Borough Woman Missing

Karissa Kunco, formerly of Brookline, has been missing since Wednesday afternoon.

The Baldwin Borough police are looking for Karissa Kunco, 21, formerly of Brookline and now a Baldwin resident. She was reported missing as of 5:30 on Wednesday afternoon, according to a report from WTAE. Police believe that Kunco—a 5-foot-2, 160-pound white woman with brown hair and green eyes—may be in the area of Washington County, PA, and that she may be with Jordan Alexander Clemons—a 5-foot-10, 165-pound black man with light skin and freckles. Kunco has a tattoo near her collarbone of some sort of writing, according to a friend. Kunco grew up in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood. Motorist Helped Save Missing Woman

Mt. Lebanon man called police and stopped the 82-year-old woman's car after following her for four miles.

It didn’t take long for Andy Booth to realize something was very wrong Wednesday night when he saw a black Dodge Charger weaving in and out of traffic on Washington Road near The Galleria. The Mt. Lebanon resident was heading home around 6:30 p.m. when he saw the driver in front of him straddling the white lines, bobbing from one lane to the other and hitting the curb. “The whole thing just looked odd,” Booth said, contrasting it from other careless drivers he’s seen around town. “I thought she was having a medical problem or something. UPDATE: Missing Woman Found in Castle Shannon

WTAE reports that missing woman Verna Hreha, 82, was found in Castle Shannon.

WTAE is reporting that Verna Hreha, 82, of Jefferson Hills, was found Wednesday evening during a traffic stop in Castle Shannon. Hreha, who had been reported missing, was seen Tuesday afternoon at a business in Bethel Park. She was last seen in Swissvale early Wednesday morning, asking for directions. According to WTAE, police officers in Castle Shannon pulled over Hreha's silver Hyundai Elantra after receiving reports of an erratic driver on Route 88.

Verna Hreha, 82, of Jefferson Hills, was last seen Tuesday in Bethel Park.

Verna Hreha, 82, of Jefferson Hills has been reported missing and was last seen Tuesday at a Bethel Park business, saying she was lost. Hreha, a 5-foot-5-inch, 135 pound white woman with short gray hair, was last seen driving her car, a silver 2011 Hyundai Elantra with a Pennsylvania license plate, through a Swissvale neighborhood and asking for directions. She was seen in Bethel Park late Tuesday afternoon. She is in need of medication.
