Move over Halloween and Thanksgiving—it's Oct. 28, and I'm already seeing advertisements for Black Friday sales. But in my opinion, the day after Black Friday is much, much more important. That day is Small Business Saturday, the day we celebrate local small businesses and their contributions to the community. We're lucky, in Dormont and Brookline, to have thriving business districts full of small businesses. Yesterday on the Dormont-Brookline Patch Facebook page, I asked you to name one small business you can't live without, and the response was great!
