Teens Try to Pawn Dormont Library DVDs
Dormont police blotter, Jan. 4 to Jan. 11.
Charges are pending against three teenagers who allegedly stole DVDs from Dormont Public Library, then tried to pawn them for cash. On Jan. 8, library employees reported to Dormont police that a number of DVDs had been stolen from the shelves. Police determined that the DVDs had been sold to MIB Entertainment on West Liberty Avenue, and identified the three teenagers who had pawned them. Library Director Cindy D'Agostino said the items have not yet been returned to the library. The teens have not yet been charged. Dormont police Sgt. James Briglia said the investigation is ongoing and possible charges and restitution are pending.
