The Taste of Brookline event is back and you can get discounted tickets, starting today.
When the first Taste of Brookline event was held last year organizers expected it to be a hit, but even they were surprised at hearing such high demand for a second one. Tickets are on sale now for this year's Taste of Brookline, which features a bigger venue, and likely more vendors. "We are very excited," said Stephanie Miller, Taste of Brookline Co-Chair and a Brookline community volunteer. "I think people really saw the value in it last year, and with the construction about to happen this will be a great way for the businesses to let people know they're still open." If this year, like me, you’ve resolved to eat less desserts, I say let us eat cupcakes. Mini cupcakes, that is, from Le Cupcake Shoppe. With a grand opening this past October, Le Cupcake Shoppe on Capital Avenue is the only mini cupcakery in Pittsburgh. The dollhouse-like shop, located next to Fiori’s Pizza, even feels like a cupcake when you walk inside. Charming details from the trim to the counter tops and cupcake décor whisk you off to a childlike state. “Everyone’s been so welcoming. People in this neighborhood have such an appreciation for small businesses,” owner Alexandra Hagen said. “Honestly who wouldn’t want to be next to Fiori’s?
