Hollywood to Host Premiere of Henrique Couto Film
The Pittsburgh-area premiere of Henrique Couto's film "Depression: The Movie" is at Hollywood Theater tonight.
Dormont's Hollywood Theater will play host to two unique independent films today, Friday, one of which is a Pittsburgh-area premiere. The first film, "Depression: The Movie," isn't as depressing as it sounds. This new, offbeat comedy from indie director Henrique Couto follows four down-on-their luck characters who struggle to make their way through life's obstacles. A brief question-and-answer session with Couto will follow the film. As part of the same event, Jeff Burr's rarely-shown film "Eddie Presley" also will be shown. The film about an ex-Elvis impersonator who gets a second chance is based on the play by Duane Whitaker.
