Dormont Elementary Receives $5,000 Grant
Aiken Elementary School in Green Tree received the same grant, for the same amount, from the H.J. Heinz Company Foundation to support the Fuel Up to Play 60 program.
Dormont Elementary School and Fred L. Aiken Elementary School are the recipients of a grant for $5,000 to each school, from the H.J. Heinz Company Foundation to support its Fuel Up to Play 60 program. Fuel Up to Play 60 encourages students to eat healthy foods and engage in at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day. The student-led program was created by the National Dairy Council and the National Football League to encourage students to make healthy lifestyle changes at school. It is sponsored locally by the Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association. This is first time Dormont Elementary has participated in the program.
