Lebanon was found in Dormont on June 14. Dormont and Mt. Lebanon police responded to a report of a vandalized and heavily damaged vehicle parking in Lima Alley in Dormont, near Mississippi Avenue, around 6:43 a.m. The vehicle—which had been reported stolen several hours earlier from a Mt. Lebanon residence—was substantially damaged, according to police, with four broken side windows, smashed windshield and a smashed rear window. The vehicle was impounded to be processed by police. Dormont police blotter, June 2 to June 8.
A Dormont man who had just gotten off the train and was walking near Park Boulevard on June 1 was reportedly assaulted and robbed. The man told Dormont police that he had just gotten off the T and was walking home around 11 p.m. He was nearing the 1400 block of Park Boulevard when another man hit him from behind, told him to “shut up” and hand over all of his money, according to the report. The suspect took cash from the man’s wallet and ran away in the direction of the train station. No arrests have been made in the case. A Brookline man was arrested in Dormont after two women told police he was harassing them. While on patrol, a Dormont officer was stopped by two women in the 2800 block of West Liberty Avenue on May 24 at 1:15 a.m. According to the police report, the women told the officer that a man—later identified as Charles Bracken, 23, of Brookline—had been harassing them, and had tried to steal one of their purses. The police report states that Bracken was highly intoxicated when the officer tried to speak with him. Bracken was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. A Dormont man was sitting on the porch of his Potomac Avenue home when he was shot with a BB gun, according to Dormont police. Officers responded to the 1600 block of Potomac Avenue around 10 a.m. on May 1, after the man called to report that he’d been shot with what he believed to be a BB gun. The man directed police to an open window in an apartment building across the street, according to the report. Police arrested Robert Felton, 19, of 1625 Potomac Ave., and charged him with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. Dormont police charged one woman with DUI after she hit two cars on Potomac Avenue just before 11 p.m. on April 16, but her passenger didn’t stick around to see the police. The driver, identified as Jaymee Vitullo, 27, of Reserve Street in Pittsburgh, remained in the car after coming to a stop in the 1700 block of Potomac Avenue. But according to police, a female passenger—who was not identified—ran from the car, in the direction of Banksville Road. Vitullo was not injured, but was taken to St. Clair Hospital for a legal blood draw. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. The female …
