Bakeries, Bridal Stores Part of Dormont History
The Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation will host a walking tour of Dormont on Saturday.
How are bakeries, bridal stores and a former school part of Dormont's history? Find out this Saturday, Sept. 8, when the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation hosts a walking tour through the borough. The tour starts at the Dormont Historical Society in the Dormont Municipal Center and ends with a few short films at Hollywood Theater. Stops include the former municipal building—now Anne Gregory Bridal—as well as Potomac Bakery and Sugar Cafe. The tour is limited to 20 people, and the cost is $10 for PHLF members and $15 for nonmembers.
