Pittsburgh Public Schools: Solicitor Reopens Investigation on Sex Allegations

A statement released this afternoon by the school district refutes WPXI-TV report that it received a specific complaint about locker room sex with a student by a retired Westinghouse High football coach.

Pittsburgh Public Schools has issued a statement that the district solicitor has reopened an investigation into a complaint about alleged sexual misconduct after a WPXI-TV report that a retired football coach had "sex with a student in a locker room." "Contrary to the WPXI report by Alan Jennings on Nov. 15, 2011, Pittsburgh Public Schools has not received a complaint alleging 'sex with student in a locker room' by a retired Pittsburgh Westinghouse football coach," according to a statement issued about 3 p.m. Wednesday by Ebony Pugh, district public relations coordinator.
