Three incidents, two of them related, were reported at the bar between April 27 and 28.
Dormont police responded to multiple incidents at Vasta Lounge on West Liberty Avenue between April 27 and April 28. Officers on patrol in the area at 2:15 a.m. on April 27 saw a fight in front of the bar. Two men—identified as Shandrew Vaughn, 35, of Pittsburgh and Carlies Womack, 34, also of Pittsburgh—were arrested after police said they refused to leave the scene, and yelled obscenities at officers. According to the police reports, Vaughn attempted to start fights with bar patrons while in the presence of police. He was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Womack was cited for public drunkenness. Brookline, Beechview police blotter, Jan. 28 to Feb. 3.
Pittsburgh police are looking for two men involved in a robbery reported in Beechview on Feb. 3. According to the police report, the victim told police a man came to his residence in the 1600 block of Methyl Street at 3:15 p.m. to sell him electronics. At one point, the man left the home, and then came back inside with a second man. One of the men allegedly pulled out a gun and demanded money from the victim. Police said there was a struggle over the gun, the victim was robbed of a wallet and cell phone. The two men fled in a red or maroon-colored vehicle. The first man is described as a black male, between 25 and 35 years old, weighing 160lbs and 5'8" with a thin build and dark complexion. The second man is described as a black male, …

What started as a neighbor dispute ended with two people facing charges—one of whom was Tased when he physically fought police. Dormont police were dispatched to an apartment building in the 2800 block of West Liberty Avenue at 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 for a report of two people yelling racial slurs at a woman who lived in the building. Police said Trina Stasik, 24, of Beechview, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct when she refused to go inside her brother’s apartment and continued yelling racial slurs at a neighbor. Police also were in the process of arresting brother, 26-year-old Jesse Pfister, for the same offense when he began to physically fight the officers.
