I've been poking my head into the Sugar Cafe on and off since they opened. Up until recently I've just ordered coffee, hot chocolate, and/or a pastrie, all of which are wonderful. Recently I got around to ordering sandwiches. Mark me down as a fool for waiting this long. I particularly am crazy about their tuna melt, but everything that I've ordered has been a winner. I now officially call myself a regular.

Great addition to Dormont. Fantastic fresh food offerings, both savory and sweet. Nice staff. Warm, inviting atmosphere. Fantastic coffee.

Have had two wonderful lunches at Sugar Cafe -- the sandwiches were fresh and delicious...However, I was treated like the ugly step-sister when I showed up with a Living Social coupon for a dozen cupcakes...I called the Cafe 24 hours in advance (as stipulated on the coupon) -- and was told they couldn't possibly have my order ready by the next day...Really?...12 cupcakes were too many?...When asked what flavor I'd be interested in, I started naming the ones that we like -- carrot cake, German chocolate cake -- only to be told that my choices were limited to plain flavors -- chocolate, vanilla, red velvet -- which was NOT stipulated on the coupon...When I picked them up the next day, they were packed and ready to go -- but stale and tasteless when we had them for dessert that evening...The Living Social deal cost me $15 for $30 worth of cupcakes -- they were definitely not worth the $1.25 apiece that I paid for them, let alone the $2.50 that they were actually worth...Very disappointing...I won't be back...
