After all the hype, and the Food Channel guy with his really cool car, any Pittsburgher would want to know why this place rates right up there with the iconic Primanti's in the Strip District. I grew up in a large family, and we know a little bit about food. A couple months ago, it was a lazy Wednesday morning, and my wife, her sister, and I headed out to the Dor-Stop. The food was great, and the service was a hoot. "You want ketchup for them home fries, hon?" to which I replied "not today". Breakfast came and I said "On second thought, please do give me some ketchup". The waitress, in her best wise-ass character said "Nope, you already said no once." Sounded like my Mom. Of course she brought the ketchup, and when we were done eating, I started looking for the electric chair! Whew, talk about a last meal. We'll be back. I love homespun Pittsburgh wiseguys, and really good omelettes.

Breakfast is fantastic! The portions are huge and the service is excellent! Be prepared to wait on the weekends.
I've been into the restaurant after they were featured on tv. I've heard mixed opinions from residents, that they added more tables after they were featured on the Food Network. If there was less space, I would find it more inviting and the wait time would be cut down.

Was just here for breakfast yesterday. The service is always good, food worh the wait! The coffee though this past Saturday seemed to be rather weak. Other than that,my breakfast was awesome. Bacon nice and crispy, eggs the way I like em, homefries hot and delicious!
