Weather Delays Dormont Dungeon Opening Thursday Night

The wicked wind and rain played havoc as volunteers work to set up Halloween attraction.

will have to delay its opening Thursday night because of weather-related issues that have hampered volunteers setting up the Halloween attraction.

Mary Pitcher, who runs the Dormont Dungeon as a fundraiser for the proposed Pitcher Park skateboard park, had hoped to get the event up and running by Friday, but after the weather failed to cooperate again on Thursday, she's not confident that can happen.

"I do not think we can open until Saturday though due to the winds and rain," Pitcher said Thursday afternoon.
