KO Sports Update: Wins for Volleyball and Soccer
The Keystone Oaks varsity women's volleyball and soccer teams both brought home wins this week.
It's been a good week for Keystone Oaks sports, with both the volleyball and soccer teams bringing home wins.
Girls soccer started on Tuesday with a 3-0 win against East Allegheny. Jackie McCarthy, Kara Hoffman and Julia Canello each scored a goal. Another win followed right away Wednesday, when the girls beat Carrick 4-0. McCarthy scored two points in the game, and Hoffman and Kasey Bucholz each scored once.
In volleyball news, the girls teams beat the Carlynton Cougars. The junior varsity team started things off with a three-set win, coming back from a 14-9 deficit in the tie-breaker to win the 3rd set 19-17. Later, the varsity team won the season opener 3-0.
