Eat'n Park Kicks off Summer With 99-Cent Kids' Meals

Smiley will be celebrating his birthday at the Dormont restaurant on June 26.

Eat'n Park restaurants, including the Dormont Eat'n Park, are kicking off the summer with 99-cent kids’ meals, in honor of Smiley's birthday.

Each kids’ meal includes a free treat bag with a Smiley sticker and tattoo, a Smiley wristband and, of course, a Smiley Cookie, mini Smiley Cookie or an apple.  The deal ends on Sunday, July 14, 2013.

Smiley’s birthday celebration also will include a coloring contest that was introduced last year. All kids are invited to draw and color a picture of how they like to stay active.

At the end of Smiley’s birthday, each restaurant will choose one entry to win a backyard activity kit filled with Smiley-branded outdoor items such as a jump rope, soccer ball, kickball and beach ball. One grand prize winner will be selected from among all of the restaurant winners to win bicycles for a family of four.

“Eat’n Park serves more than a million kids every year, and the most popular menu item with kids is our salad bar,” said Kevin O’Connell, senior vice president of marketing for Eat’n Park Restaurants. “Kids love Smiley, so we want to make sure Smiley’s youngest friends have a chance to celebrate his birthday at our restaurants and in the community.”

Smiley will be making an appearance from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on June 26 at the Dormont restaurant on West Liberty Avenue.

The 99-cent kids’ meals are not valid on breakfast or brunch buffets or on takeout, and kids’ treat bags are available while supplies last. The guest check must include one adult meal.
