Xenakis Makes KO History on the Court

Senior Alexa Xenakis became the all-time leading point scorer in KO girls basketball history.

Senior basketball player Alexa Kenakis made history Thursday when she became the all-time leading point scorer in KO girls basketball history.

Xenakis scored 29 points last night, helping her team gain a double overtime victory over Carlynton.

The Golden Eagles came back from a seven-point defecit at halftime on Thursday, and again in the fourth quarter. They solidified their lead in the last minute of the second overtime with Taylor Brownlee’s jump shot. Maryssa Agurs scored a career high 24 points and got 11 rebounds.

The girls finish off the regular season with a nonsection game at OLSH Saturday. Junior Varsity starts at 12:30 p.m. and Varsity at 2 p.m.
