Munchkin University to Open New Facility

, which has a main location on Sussex Avenue in , will open what owner Patty Garfold calls its south location on Stilley Road on the border of Brentwood and boroughs on Aug. 1.

Garfold said that that south location at 4411 Stilley is a Brentwood address but that part of that property extends into Whitehall.

Enrollment at Munchkin University's Baldwin Township location is filled to capacity, Garfold said, but Munchkin University is accepting applications for children at its new, Brentwood spot.

Garfold said that the Brentwood location will serve children ranging from those aged 6 weeks to those in third grade. She said that she is still unsure of what types of child care will be available at the Brentwood spot but that interested parents and guardians can call 412-881-8864 to learn more.

Garfold said that she has been talking with the owner and director of in about possible children to enroll at Munchkin University's Brentwood location.

Bright & Early Learning is in the TRAAC Building on Churchview Avenue at the end of August.

Bright & Early Director Lori Nestor confirmed that Bright & Early has been trying to find other child-care options for the children that it serves but that its main desire is to remain open, possibly at another location in the Baldwin-Whitehall area.

The TRAAC Building's owners, Tobias Randolph & Associates, have said that they "are eager to bring in another community-service tenant (after Bright & Early leaves)—perhaps another child-care provider—to suit the needs of our area."

Tobias Randolph did not elaborate on whom that other tenant could be.

Munchkin University's Baldwin Township location is about four miles from Bright & Early.

Munchkin University's Brentwood location is about three miles from Bright & Early.
