Loss for KO Football Team, Win for Soccer

Football, soccer and cross country teams competed this weekend.

The football team lost 53-0 Friday night against South Fayette. For a video from WTAE, click here.

On Saturday, the Keystone Oaks girls soccer team brought home another win with a 3-0 victory over Carlyton High School. Goals were scored by Amy Coombs, Sam Fisher (with an assist by Jackie McCarthy), and Cassie Bucholz.

The Keystone Oaks Varsity Cross Country team also competed this Saturday, in Schenley Park.

Tom Gorman led the Eagles with a time of 19:32 on the 5K course. Jesse Stefanski was the second runner to cross the line, with Ryan McCay close behind in third. Team captain Jeff Coffy finished fourth. Also scoring for the men was Nate Groh, who finished fifth. Matt Iorio and Dan Strickland rounded out the team, taking sixth and seventh places.

For the women, team captain Elizabeth Boyle led the Lady Eagles with a time of 26:40. Danie Super and Maryah Agurs finished just behind Boyle in the freshman race. Finishing fourth was Elizabeth Flaherty. Brittany Winkowski took fifth place, and Jillian Welch finished sixth.

The team takes on Chartiers Houston at home on Tuesday.
