KO To Host Marching Band Festival This Weekend

Marching bands from around the South Hills are scheduled to participate.

There will be music in the air this weekend and several local marching bands take to the Dormont Stadium field for Keystone Oaks High School's annual band festival.

The Keystone Oaks Golden Eagle Marching Band and the Keystone Oaks Parent Society will host the district's annual band festival this Saturday, Sept. 14.

The show starts at 7 p.m. at Dormont Memorial Stadium, and will feature performances by several other local marching bands.

Bands from Pittsburgh Brashear, Brentwood, Pittsburgh Carrick, and Peters Township High Schools, as well as the bands from Duquesne University and Thiel College will perform.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and tickets will be sold at the festival. A Chinese auction will be held and a variety of concessions will be sold.
