KO's Harris Takes 'Best of Show' at PTI Art Competition

Six Keystone Oaks students won awards for work they submitted to the Pittsburgh Technical Institute's Visions and Voices art competition.

Six Keystone Oaks High School students received scholarship awards and recognition for work they submitted to Pittsburgh Technical Institute's Visions and Voices 2013 art show scholarship competition.

  • Karly Harris won Best of Show for her piece entitled "Fear Builds Walls."
  • First place in Fine Art-2D went to Ryan McCay for "All Quiet on the Western Front."
  • First place in Fine Art-3D went to Jenn DeFazio for her work "The Breaking Point." DeFazio also received an honorable mention in the category Fine Art-2D for her piece "Intertwined."
  • Stephen Yamalis received an honorable mention for his work "In Your Face" in the category Fine Art-2D.
  • Kaitlin Tomko received an honorable mention for her untitled glass piece in the category Fine Art-3D.
  • Bre Coyle received an honorable mention in the category Fine Art-3D for a drum she created using majolica and white clay, glaze, goat skin, leather cord and feathers.
