KO's 'Camp Invention' Enrolling Now

This science and technology-based summer study is now enrolling for students entering grades one through six.

Do you have a young scientist on your hands? How about a budding engineer or mathematician?

Enrollment is open now for Camp Invention, a Keystone Oaks School District program focused on STEM studies—science, technology, engineering and math.

Students entering grades one through six for the 2013-14 school year are eligible to register for this week-long program, which will be held June 24 to 28 at Dormont Elementary School from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The cost of the camp is $220 per student, but students who register by March 28 will receive a $25 discount. Also, students who register online will receive an additional $5 off the price of the camp.

A limited number of scholarships will be available based on financial need. These scholarships are only available through the Keystone Oaks School District in cooperation with some area businesses.

Flyers and registration forms will be sent home with students in the next few weeks. Parents may also register their child at www.campinvention.org or by calling 1-800-968-4332.

Keystone Oaks teachers will guide the program, which is overseen by Myrtle Elementary teacher Theresa Zimmerman.

Parents will responsible for their child's transportation and lunch.
