Keystone Oaks School District is now accepting applications for the spring session of the high school's child care program.
The 12-week session begins Feb. 20, 2013 and runs through May 22. Morning and afternoon classes are held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:50 to 11 a.m. and 12:20 to 1:45 p.m.
Pre-school students will work with a high school student teacher on a one-to-one ratio, in a structured setting overseen by classroom instructor Maria Dayka. Lessons relating to a weekly topic will be taught by the student-teachers.
"Our nursery school program provides an opportunity for children to have fun while learning as well as make new friends," said Dayka. "The high school students bond with the children and make their introduction to school a happy experience."
To be eligible, children must be between the ages of 3 and-a-half and years old. The cost of the program is $35 per child, which includes snacks & supplies.
Children from all communities are welcome to enroll in the program but district residents will have first priority.
