KO Board to Vote on Tax Rate, Final Budget at Thursday Meeting

The Keystone Oaks School Board plans to set a tax millage rate and vote on the final budget for the 2013-14 school year at the June 20 meeting.

At its May meeting, the school board adopted a proposed budget and tentatively set the millage rate at 18.41, but the millage rate was reached after three failed votes and much discussion on the topic. To read about that meeting, click here.

The board also plans to set salaries for school district employees for the 2013-14 school year, approve text books and other educational services for the next school year, and approve various staff resignations and appointments.
