KO Basketball Upsets Steel Valley

Thursday's game was a win over Steel Valley, and also a fundraiser for breast cancer research.

Congratualtions to the Girls Basketball team on its win Thursday night against section rival Steel Valley! The Lady Eagles beat Steel Valley 65-49.

Freshman Kayla Brownlee had a career high 20 points in the game, including six three-point shots. Senior Olivia Lippert scored a season high 15 points, and Alexa Xenakis scored 14.

Thursday’s game also was a in which the team held raffles and wore pink to support breast cancer research. Events at the game raised $450 for breast cancer research. The money will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The Lady Eagles will play Seton La Salle on Monday, Jan. 30.
