National Aviary Lecture Series: A Traveling Birdwatcher

Brian Shema, Conservation Director of the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania, will present a free program entitled “A Traveling Birdwatcher.”  The program will focus on the diversity of North American birds, and why many birdwatchers are often compelled to go to great lengths to enjoy this diversity. Brian has led nine trips across the country in the past six years, in the process hosting over 100 participants and finding 550 species of birds. “A Traveling Birdwatcher” will include lots of great photographs and stories of his experiences leading bird tours.
