Dormont Elementary Celebrates Dr. Seuss' Birthday

Dormont Elementary students celebrated Dr. Suess' birthday Tuesday with costumes of their favorite reading characters, reading programs and yes, green eggs and ham.

Dormont Elementary students celebrated Dr. Suess' birthday on Tuesday with costumes of their favorite reading character, reading programs and yes, green eggs and ham.

"They love this day. They love the Dr. Suess' stories and they love reading about Dr. Suess," said Leslie Holmes, a first grade teacher.

Wednesday is the 107th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Seuss, who was born Theodor Seuss Geisel. The school event is part of Read Across America Day.
