Beechwood Elementary Treated for Bedbugs

This is the second time this year bedbugs have been found at the Beechview elementary school.

Beechwood Elementary school was treated with pesticides Saturday after a bedbug was found on a student, according to a report by KDKA.

The school's principal sent letters home to parents on Friday. The principal told KDKA that an infestation of the school is unlikely, but that classrooms, the cafeteria and locker areas would be treated.

The K-5 elementary school is part of the Pittsburgh Public School District.
