Please allow me to introduce myself.... I'm a woman of...

Hey you GUUUYYYYSSSSS! (Said in the voice of Sloth from Goonies.)

I wanted to take my first post to introduce myself to you all.  I am a current resident of Dormont, PA. I’ve lived here, in the same residence, for almost 5 years. There are many great things that I enjoy about Dormont that I will be writing about in the future. In addition, I have a few other interests which include fitness, healthy eating, being crafty, cars & car shows, shopping with coupons, enjoying what nature has to offer, seeing undiscovered artists, using exclamation points excessively, attending theatre productions (both large and small) and living life.  I plan on touching all of these subjects at one point or another throughout my time here on the Dormont-Brookline Patch. 

As a little bit about my background… I was born in Charleston, WV. Which means I’m a proud Mountaineer fan; therefore, I strongly dislike Pitt and I am also not a fan of Penn State. I know the blasphemy of it all!  I grew up south of Pittsburgh in PA and then moved to “the city” for college.  I have been in the area ever since. I have lived in downtown and uptown of Pittsburgh. I also enjoyed living in the South Side for a short stint during college.  I am now a twenty-something working professional. I’ve played soccer for over half of my life, which I still enjoy today. My favorite music genre’s are Country, 80’s, 90’s, and some of the Pop today.  I also recently started running races, the first which was a 5k. I will be attempting the Great Race 10k in September. I do believe that the Rivers are like the Mason-Dixon Line, those who live above don’t want to go south and those who live south don’t want to go north. Therefore, most of my activities are ‘south of the rivers.’   I love to argue, I mean have lively discussions and I welcome any comments or opinions that you may be willing to share.
