State Sen. Fontana's 'Skills for Success' Series Visits Brookline Saturday

State Sen. Wayne Fontana will bring his "Skills for Success" series to Brookline on Saturday from noon until 4 p.m.

State Sen. Wayne D. Fontana will bring his "Skills for Success" series to Brookline on Saturday, Nov. 5. The series of free workshops provide job seekers with tools to help with the job search process. 

This session will run from noon until 4 p.m. at the on Brookline Blvd. 

State Sen. Fontana said, "I have taken every opportunity to attend these sessions myself and have had the opportunity to talk with the attendees as well. Each of them has come away with a renewed sense of optimism about their ability to secure a job that meets their needs."

The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh's presenters will be Rachel Masilamani and George Deming. The two presenters have over 10 years combined of experience assisting library visitors with job hunting and offering attendees unique instruction on resume writing, the importance of a quality cover letter, best practices for online job searching, and how to enhance networking ability to connect with potential employers. Additionally, individuals take a self-assessment test to help match skills and interests with available jobs and participate in mick interviews.
