Some Offices Closed to Observe Good Friday

Good Friday is March 29. Easter is March 31.

Some government offices are closed because of Good Friday.

Dormont Municipal Center and Pittsburgh city offices are closed March 29. Dormont Public Library also is closed in observance of Good Friday.

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh locations, including the one in Brookline, will be open on Good Friday, but will be closed on Easter Sunday, March 31.

Allegheny County offices and departments that report to the county executive are open. All other county departments, including court, the district attorney's office, the sheriff's office and the Department of Court Records, are closed.

Banks, state liquor stores and post offices are open, with regular pickup and delivery of mail.

The Port Authority is running regular bus, incline and T service. The Downtown Service Center, however, is closed.
