Poll: Where Does Dormont Need Street Signs?

Council has voted to put new street signs at various points throughout the borough. Where else could Dormont use improved signs?

Crosby Avenue will soon have a few more street signs, and so will other locations throughout .

A stop sign will be posted on Hillsdale Avenue at the intersection of Crosby Avenue. , particularly since there are so many children in the area. "Watch Children" signs also will be posted in the neighborhood.

Gateway Engineers was assigned to coordinate traffic calming efforts and placement of signs in the area. As of Wednesday morning, the signs had not yet been posted.

Dormont Council also has approved up to $6,000 for traffic control devices, signage and line painting on Dormont Avenue, as recommended by the borough's Traffic and Parking Planning Commission.

In addition, handicap ramps are being installed at several intersections throughout the borough.
