PennDOT Announces Work Schedule for Route 51, Route 88 and Provost Road Area
Work starting on Sunday will be just the beginning for a lengthy project at the popular Route 51-Route 88 intersection.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 11-0 announced on Friday that parts of Route 51, Route 88 and Provost Road will experience short-term lane closures soon, starting with Route 51 on Sunday night.
Crews will be performing drilling operations needed for the design of a future improvement project at the popular Route 51-Route 88 intersection between Stewart Avenue and Underwood Street.
Restrictions will occur nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. according to the following schedule:

Sunday and Monday nights, July 10-11
- Lane closure on southbound Route 51

Tuesday night, July 12
- Lane closure on eastbound Route 88
Wednesday night, July 13
- Lane closure on Provost at the Provost-Route 51 intersection
Thursday night, July 14
- Lane closure on northbound Route 51
Motorists are advised to use caution and expect possible delays.
