Mayor Lloyd Gets 44 Anonymous Mailers in One Day

The postcards calling for his impeachment continued to arrive through Election Day.

Dormont's mayor sees one benefit to the anonymous "Impeach Dormont Mayor Tom Lloyd" mailers that continued to arrive in his mailbox up to Election Day.

Each one required a postage stamp.

"So in a way, I want to thank you for the post office," Lloyd said at Monday's Council meeting.

. There were accusations about his handling of the police situation among other issues.

, Lloyd decided to file a police report for what he considers "harassment."

"During the last two weeks before Election Day, I was getting two or three a day," he said.

He figures whoever is behind the anonymous mailer decided to get rid of whatever was left from the printing since he got 44 of them delivered on Election Day.

Although there have been suspicions that someone on council or the administration is behind the mailers, council President Kim Lusardi has previously denied the allegations.

in another anonymous mailing on the day before elections. This one said in bold on the front: "Martinoville, Costanzoville, Hodsonville. Don't let a few families run Dormont into the ground." The flip side takes direct shots at Democratic candidates Valerie Martino and Yvonne Costanzo, as well as Republican candidate James Hodson.

in another mailing sent out and delivered on Nov. 4, which they said amounted to a smear campaign.
