Dormont Council Approves Naftal as Borough Manager for Two More Years

Council approved the agreement on Monday.

On approximately the one-year anniversary of his hiring, Jeff Naftal was approved to continue his role as Dormont Borough Manager for two more years.

Dormont Council voted on Monday to approve an agreement with Naftal to continue his services as borough manager for two years. As is common, council retains the right to remove him from the position before the expiration of the agreement if council members see fit.

Naftal said he is pleased to be given the opportunity to continue serving Dormont Borough, and thanked council, residents and borough staff for making his first year in the borough enjoyable.

Council approved the agreement by a 4-2 vote. Councilmen John Maggio and Eugene Barilla voted against the agreement to retain Naftal. Councilwoman Valerie Marino was absent from the meeting.
