AGENDA: Dormont to Adopt 2013 Budget

Dormont Council plans to adopt the 2013 budget, as well as make several other votes at its meeting today, Monday, Dec. 3.

Much of the agenda for Dormont Council's meeting today, Monday, concerns the 2013 budget.

Council will meet today, Monday Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at Dormont Municipal Center, and plans to adopt the borough's 2013 budget, with tax adjustments to account for recent property reassessments. .

Also on the agenda are votes to approve the laborer union contract, and to make changes to laws regarding event signage and front yard fences.

Borough manager Jeff Naftal plans to provide updates on the West Liberty Avenue Redevelopment plan, union negotiations, and the Voelkel Avenue traffic calming plan.

Council will hold an executive session prior to the public meeting to discuss hiring a new police chief.
