A Message From State Rep. Dan Deasy

As a state representative, I try my best to offer programs and services that are of benefit to my constituents. Some of the programs and services available through my office are listed below.

Volunteers with the AARP’s TaxAide Program are available for income tax preparation in my West End office. This free service is available to low income individuals and senior citizens. Please call today as appointments are limited. If you just need federal or state tax forms, you can stop by my West End office.

My office partners with the University of Pittsburgh’s Small Business Development Center. If you have or would like to start a business and need assistance from the SBDC, please call my office to schedule an appointment with a representative of SBDC. The representative will meet you at the or another place convenient for you.

My office provides a free limited notary service at my district office in the West End. I realize that this may not be convenient for all of my constituents. I am, therefore, recommending that my constituents in Dormont call my West End office if you need a notary and my staff will schedule a time to meet you at the Dormont Municipal Building.

Please keep an eye out for my next newsletter, which will feature information on upcoming events in the district. We have upcoming town hall meetings and my bi-annual bus trip to Harrisburg to visit the State Capitol and a stop in Gettysburg for a tour of the Gettysburg Battlefield.
