Woman Crashes on Potomac Ave., Passenger Runs From Car

charged one woman with DUI after she hit two cars on Potomac Avenue just before 11 p.m. on April 16, but her passenger didn’t stick around to see the police.

The driver, identified as Jaymee Vitullo, 27, of Reserve Street in Pittsburgh, remained in the car after coming to a stop in the 1700 block of Potomac Avenue. But according to police, a female passenger—who was not identified—ran from the car, in the direction of Banksville Road.

Vitullo was not injured, but was taken to St. Clair Hospital for a legal blood draw. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. The female passenger was not charged, and no injuries were reported.

April 14

• A man was arrested and charged with simple assault following a domestic incident in the 1400 block of Greenmont Avenue at 4:40 a.m.

April 17

• Police responded to a report that someone was trying to push in the door of a home in the 1400 block of Dormont Avenue at 4:05 a.m. According to police, Tyler Kemp, 24, of Washington, Pa. told officers he was looking for his girlfriend and thought she was in the home. Kemp was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was held at the Dormont police station until he was sober.

April 18

• Officers responded to a home in the 1200 block of Arkansas at 5:31 p.m. for a report of a fight between three people. According to the police, what started as a verbal argument between three family members carried into the street outside the home and was witnessed by several neighbors. Officers first gave a verbal warning, and when the argument did not stop, charged Nancy Lori, Frank Mattola and Zachary Morton with disorderly conduct.
• Officers responded to the parking lot of in the 2900 block of West Liberty Avenue at 11:20 p.m. for a report of a man sleeping in the parking lot. According to police, when they woke the man, identified as Joseph Tulick, 24, of Eureka Street in Pittsburgh, he began shouting at the officers and using vulgar language. Tulick was unable to stand or walk without assistance, according to the report. He was charged with public drunkenness and taken to the Dormont police station until he was sober.

Police received a number of parking complaints, noise disturbance reports and nuisance reports that did not result in arrests or charges.
